Spain: Mediaset acquires TV rights for Euro 2020 and international matches until 2022

Mediaset España has acquired the broadcasting rights, in Spain, to Euro 2020, from the CAA Eleven agency, on 02/08/2018. The private audiovisual group will broadcast all 51 games of the competition free-to-air.

The Spanish group also acquired, from the Swiss company that has been managing the commercial rights of the UEFA national team competitions since 2012, the matches of the European national teams (excluding the Spanish team) for qualification to Euro 2020, qualification to the 2022 World Cup, the Nations League and friendly matches in the 2018-2022 period.

Mediaset has broadcast, in Spain, the 2010 World Cup (South Africa), Euro 2012 (Poland and Ukraine), the 2014 World Cup (Brazil), Euro 2016 (France), and the 2018 World Cup (Russia).

  • Euro 2020, organised in 12 cities in 12 countries under UEFA jurisdiction, starts on 12/06/2020 (opening match at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome, Italy) and ends with the final at Wembley Stadium in London (UK) on 12/07/2020.
