Brazil 2014: 1.1 million ticket requests within 24 hours for second phase of sales

1,179,363 requests for tickets were recorded within 24 hours on the 08/12/2013, after the opening of the second sales phase for the 2014 World Cup (Brazil, from the 12/06 to the 13/07/2014), according to FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association), on the 10/12/2013.

86% of the orders, more than a million, come from Brazilian fans, said the international Federation.

In terms of ranking, next after Brazil were the United States (38,009 requests, or 3.2%), Argentina (30,659, 2.6%), Chile (23,014), Colombia (12,103), Mexico (11,580), Australia (8,064), Germany (6,556), England (6,469) and France (6,006 or 0.5%).

The registration deadline for applications is on the 30/01/2014 at noon (Central European Time) on www.fifa.com/tickets. Tickets will then be allocated by lottery.

The allocation of tickets reserved for supporters of the 32 participating countries:

  • 29,913 PMA (Participating Member Associations) ticket requests were received within 24 hours.
  • The sale also started on the 08/12/2013.
    • It will continue until the 07/02/2014.
