Scotland: Dafabet (betting) extends as the main shirt sponsor of Celtic FC for the 2020-2025 cycle

The sports betting and online gambling operator Dafabet has extended as the main shirt sponsor of Celtic Football Club (Ladbrokes Premiership) for five years, or the 2020-2025 cycle, on 03/08/2018. This is "Scottish football's biggest ever front of shirt sponsorship deal," said the club.

Dafabet extended its partnership with Celtic to become the club's main sponsor for the 2016-2020 cycle on 02/05/2016. The value of the partnership should exceed £6m per year (€6.86m on 07/08/2018), according to local media.

Dafabet has been Celtic's international betting partner since 2015-16 (and until the end of the 2019-20 season). The sports betting operator succeeded the cider brand Magners, which had been visible on the front of the Scottish club's shirts since the beginning of the 2013-14 season (estimated at £1.5m/€1.9m annually per season, excluding bonuses).
