IOC: the proportion of women has increased by 98% among the 26 IOC commissions since 2013

"Women will now occupy 30 more committee positions than last year, reflecting the IOC's commitment to improve gender equality throughout all levels of sport. In total, 42.7% of the positions across the 26 IOC commissions will now be held by women - a historic high," said the International Olympic Committee on 08/08/2018.

"This represents an increase of 16.8% in female participation compared to 2017 and an improvement of 98% since 2013," said the IOC who announced the composition of its commissions for 2018 (document available to download). "The changes also include increases in the number of members from Africa and Oceania," added the IOC.
