LaLIga Santander: capacity of Sevilla FC's Estadio Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán increased by 1,300

Work carried out at the end of the 2017-18 season has increased the capacity of the Estadio Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán by 1,300 seats (42,714 in 2017-18), said Sevilla FC (LaLiga Santander), resident club and owner of the stadium on 24/07/2018.

"We are continuing with the works according to the plan that was established a few years ago to solve the defects of the stadium which is already sixty years old (built in 1958). Although it was a short summer,  in addition to the stand, we were able to finish the visiting and referees changing rooms as well as the museum, which is already finished and is being provided with exhibition material," said José Luis Moscoso, member of the executive committee of Sevilla FC in charge of the Estadio Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán.

The replacement of the seats in one of the side stands, as well as new doors allowing easier access to the seats, especially for people with reduced mobility, are the main improvements that have made. "We are increasing the number of seats but also the security of the stadium," added José Luis Moscoso.
