European Athletics Championships: EBU extends its international media rights until 2027

The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) has extended its international media (audiovisual and radio) rights to the European Athletics Championships until 2027, on 11/08/2018.

The agreement covers the next four editions of the European Athletics Championships, including the 2020 edition which will take place in Paris (FRA), at the Stade Charléty (20,000 capacity), from 26 to 30/08/2020.

The 2022 and 2026 editions of the European Athletics Championships will be an integral part of the European multi-sport championships, which was organised for the first time this year in Glasgow (SCO) and Berlin (GER) from 02 to 12/08/2018.

• The EBU has been the media partner of the European Athletics Championships since 1981.
• The agreement also covers the European Indoor Athletics Championships, the European Athletics Cup (team competition), the European Cross Country Championships and the European Athletics U23, U20 and U18 Championships.
