Bundesliga: Allianz Arena revamped with FC Bayern Munich colours

The Allianz Arena (75,000 capacity) development works which began at the end of the 2017-18 season have been completed and the enclosure, "a completely new" stadium is ready to welcome home games of the FC Bayern Munich (Bundesliga) for the 2018-19 season, announced the club on 04/08/2018.

On the occasion of the reception of Manchester United (Premier League) in a friendly pre-season (1-0 victory of FC Bayern Munich), on 05/08/2018, the spectators were able to discover the new look of the enclosure, in the colors of the Bavarian club (photos below). "The stadium now features red seats in the middle tier, the FCB logo in the north, 'Mia-san-Mia' lettering in the west stand and 'FC Bayern München' spelled out in the east stand, plus a colourful redesign of the promenades and cascade stairways in the club’s famous red," the club added.

Until the summer of 2017, the Allianz Arena hosted matches of both FC Bayern Munich and TSV 1860 Munich (promoted to 3.Liga in 2018-19). Relegated sportingly, then administratively to the fourth division (Bavarian Regional League) at the end of the…
