LaLiga: joint venture to promote football across the Atlantic with one match / season in the USA

LaLiga and Relevent, an American company specialising in media, sports and entertainment, have signed a 15-year agreement to create a joint venture, 50% owned by each of the two entities goal to promote football in the United States and Canada, announced the Spanish Professional League on 16/08/2018.

"As part of the agreement, LaLiga plans to bring a regular season club match to the United States, the first to be played outside of Europe," LaLiga stated, without specifying whether the 2018-19 season is concerned by this agreement, but several Spanish media outlets claim that the first relocated regular season game in the United States should take place in 2018-19, and that it would involve either FC Barcelona or Real Madrid CF.
