Wolverhampton: underground passage to the Molineux Stadium revamped with the colours of the club

"A main pedestrian link between Wolverhampton city centre (northwest of Birmingham, ENG) and Molineux (32,050 capacity) is getting a stunning facelift in time for Wolves' return to the Premier League," stated Wolverhampton Wanderers FC, who are back in the English top league it had left at the end of the 2011-12 season.

This layout of the main pedestrian access road to the stadium is the result of an agreement between the club, the University of Wolverhampton (the path also leads to both campuses) and the town hall. "The subway is being cleaned, painted and either side decorated with colourful new vinyl walls depicting Wolves' history on one side and life at the University of Wolverhampton on the other. There will also be illuminated 'Welcome to the City of Wolverhampton' signs installed at both ends of the subway with logos of both organisations joined with the new City of Wolverhampton brand. CCTV is also being installed," added the club.
