Bundesliga: 1. FC Köln launch "EFFZEH 360", a virtual and augmented reality application

1. FC Köln (Bundesliga) has launched "EFFZEH 360", its virtual and augmented reality application, announced the club on 17/08/2018. This application, made with the company Snapnext, "thus complements the existing application (FC-APP)".

FC Köln is the "first German professional club to launch a special application with information and entertainment via virtual reality and augmented reality," said the club, which offers a virtual museum and augmented reality projection of the team lineup on the day of the match (see visual below).

"We are aligning our fan offerings with their preferences and behavior, and new technologies like augmented reality offer our fans great opportunities to get closer to the action, and we want to take advantage of these opportunities at an early stage," says Alexander Wehrle, managing director of FC Köln.
