Ligue 1 Conforama: Guingamp - PSG, record subscriber audience share for Canal+ in 11 years (42.7%)

"The live and exclusive broadcast (Saturday 18/08/2018) at 17:00 CET on Canal+ of the game EA Guingamp - Paris Saint-Germain (1-3, Matchday 2 of the Ligue 1 Conforama) recorded a subscriber audience share of 42.7%, in the middle of the summer, with 877,000 viewers in France. This is the best subscriber audience share since 2007, for a match on Saturday," announces the French private, pay-TV group Canal+ on 19/08/2018.

"A peak of 1.023 million viewers was reached at the end of the game," added Canal+, which stated that the best subscriber audience share for a Saturday match dates back to AS Saint-Etienne - Olympique Marseille (43.7%) played on Saturday 06/10/2007 (1-0, Matchday 10 of the 2007-08 Ligue 1 season).

The first match of Paris Saint-Germain in the 2018-19 Ligue 1 Conforama, the home opener against SM Caen (3-0), the closing game of Matchday 1, drew an average of 944,000 subscribers, with a peak of 1.1 million viewers, on Canal+ on Sunday 12/08/2018 (kick-off at 21:00 CET).
