UEFA: Euro 2016 on programme of the Executive Committee, meeting in Bilbao (ESP), on the 12/12/2013

The executive committee of UEFA (Union of European Football Associations), which is meeting for the last time in 2013, in Bilbao (ESP), on the 12/12/2013, will include an update on the preparation of Euro 2016, held in France from 10/06 to 10/07/2016.

While the slogan for the competition, "UEFA Euro 2016, Le rendez-vous" was presented on the 17/10/2013, the next step will be the qualifying draw, on the 23/02/2014 in Nice. Euro 2016 will be the first edition to have 24 teams (against 16 in 2012).

The Executive Committee, chaired by Michel Platini, will designate which city will host the finals of the 2014 Futsal Cup. Approval will also be sought for the competition regulations for the 2014-15 UEFA Regions' Cup, a competition reserved for regional amateur teams.

• UEFA's headquarters, the House of European Football in Nyon, Switzerland, will play host to the next meeting of the UEFA Executive Committee on the 23 and 24/01/2014.
