Glasgow Celtic: 128 fans issued "precautionary" suspensions and 250 relocated

128 Glasgow Celtic (Scotland) supporters were "issued precautionary suspensions pending further investigation", and 250 season ticket holders in the 111 section, an area of the stadium occupied by a group of ultras called the "Green Brigade", will be relocated to other areas in Celtic Park, the club said on the 09/12/2013.

The decision is a result of damage to Fir Park during Celtic's 0-5 win at Motherwell on the 06/12/2013. Some Celtic fans ripped up seats and threw pyrotechnics. The damage is estimated at 10,000 pounds (about €12,000).

"These events were an embarrassment to our great football club and are absolutely indefensible. It is clear that there is an element which has no hesitation in bringing Celtic’s name into disrepute. This is something the club will not tolerate and we therefore have no other option but to take this action. We will not allow the great name of Celtic to be damaged in this way any more - our supporters deserve more than this," said Celtic on their official website, on the 09/12/2013.
