LaLiga Santander: attendance for Matchday 1 of 2018-19, Barça - Alavès draws 52,356 fans

Matchday 1 of the 2018-19 LaLiga Santander season drew an average of 29,022 spectators per game, from 17 to 20/08/2018. The average fill rate was 68%. The 20 LaLiga Santander clubs drew an average of 26,156 spectators per game on the Matchday 1 of the 2017-18 season (fill rate: 67%).

FC Barcelona - Deportivo Alavès (3-0), on Saturday 18/08/2018 (kick-off at 22:15 CET), drew the best attendance on Matchday 1 with 52,356 spectators at the Camp Nou (99,354 capacity, a fill rate of 52%).

Real Madrid CF - Getafe CF (2-0), on Sunday 19/08/2018 (kick-off at 22:15 CET) at the Santiago-Bernabeu (81,044 capacity), drew 48,446 spectators (56% fill rate), the Madrid club's lowest attendance since a match versus Real Club Deportivo Mallorca (1-3, 44,270 spectators) on 24/05/2009, just before the arrival of the Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo.

Five matches drew over 38,000 spectators and another five under 17,000, with Sociedad Deportiva Eibar - SD Huesca (1-2) the lowest attendance on Matchday 1 drawing 4,234 spectators (fill rate: 67%).
