NFL: Budweiser installs connected fridges in Cleveland that will open when the Browns win

Bud Light has installed its connected "E-fridges" in 10 bars in the city of Cleveland (Ohio, USA) as well as at FirstEnergy Stadium (73,200 capacity), the home of the Cleveland Browns (NFL), said the beer brand of the AB InBev Group, on 14/08/2018.

These connected fridges, named for the occasion as "Victory Fridges", will unlock automatically following the next victory of the Cleveland Browns, one of the worst franchises of the NFL and all of the North American major leagues in recent seasons: the team won only one official match in 2016-17, and zero in 2017-18. The electromagnet, which locks the fridge door, is controlled via a wi-fi connection.

"Browns fans, these fridges will open this year. We know it. You know it," said Bud Light on its Twitter account on 14/08/2018. "You’ve stood by us through it all. We love you for it, and so does Bud Light," added the franchise, the same day, on its Twitter account.
