Premier League: AFC Bournemouth organises a foodbank collection point for home games

AFC Bournemouth (Premier League) and the charity Bournemouth Foodbank, one of the 400 foodbanks established in the UK by The Trussell Trust Group, have organised a "foodbank collection point" for the club's home matches at the Vitality Stadium (11,360 capacity) throughout the 2018-19 season, announced AFC Bournemouth, on 10/08/2018.

Founded in 2008, Bournemouth Foodbank helps local people in need of food. "Bournemouth Foodbank are the club's official supporters' charity partner for the upcoming (2018-19) campaign, as voted for by Cherries fans," said the club.

Fans wishing to make a donation can go to the collection point located near the club's official store at the Vitality Stadium. "We're hoping that the presence of a collection point at every home match this season will help raise awareness of the charity and the reality of food poverty in Bournemouth," said Rob Mitchell, commercial director of AFC Bournemouth, on 10/08/2018.
