Bundesliga: record turnover of €536m for Borussia Dortmund in 2017-18 (+32.1%)

Borussia Dortmund (Bundesliga) posted a record turnover of €536m during the fiscal year 2017-18 (from 01/07/2017 to 30/06/2018), up 32.1% compared to the previous year (€405.7m), according to the German club on 24/08/2018. "Transfer revenue played a key role in driving turnover upwards. The club earned €222.7m in total through outgoing transfers. This represents a €145.4m increase on last year's total of €77.3m," said the club.

Excluding proceeds from the sale of player contracts, Borussia Dortmund's revenues decreased by 4.6% in 2017-18, reaching €313.3m (versus €328.4m in 2016-17). Borussia Dortmund GmbH & Co. KGaA posted an EBITDA of €126.6m on 30/06/2018, up 71% year-on-year (€74m in 2016-17) and net profit of nearly €28.5m (compared to €8.2m in 2016-17).
