NBA: Frost Bank (bank) becomes a jersey sponsor of the San Antonio Spurs from 2018-19

The US bank Frost Bank has become the first jersey sponsor of the San Antonio Spurs (NBA) from the 2018-19 season, indicated the North American professional basketball league on 23/08/2018. The company's headquarters are based in the same city as the franchise, Texas (United States).

As part of this multi-year agreement (the NBA Jersey sponsorship experiment phase has lasted three seasons since 2017-18, see below), the Frost Bank logo will feature on the left pocket space of Spurs jerseys. "The deal will also include a comprehensive community engagement platform as well as expanded in-arena (AT & T Center, 18,418 capacity) and digital presences," said the NBA on 23/08/2018.

Frost Bank has been a partner of the San Antonio Spurs for 45 years. "Frost Bank and the Spurs first joined forces in 1973 when Tom C. Frost provided the financing necessary to move the franchise to San Antonio (the franchise was previously based in Dallas under the name Dallas Chaparrals)," added the NBA.
