Bundesliga: mobile highlights service "Bundesliga bei Bild" receives 50,000 subscribers

"Bundesliga bei Bild", a service which offers highlights of the German first division on the Internet and mobile devices, has 50,800 paying subscribers, said Donata Hopfen, Managing Director of the German daily Bild, on the 11/12/2013.

The "Bundesliga bei Bild" service, available since the start of the 2013-14 season, gives access every week from Saturday, 18:20 CET, to highlights from 90 seconds to six minutes long of German first and second division matches. Users can view the on-demand content on their computer, tablet or mobile phone.

The offer is open to 152,493 "BildPlus" subscribers (4.99 € per month), the digital version of Bild, for €2.99 extra per month. Non-subscribers to BildPlus can subscribe directly to "Bundesliga bei Bild" for €7.98 per month.

"BildPlus" and "Bundesliga bei Bild" allow Bild, owned by German media group Axel Springer, to generate nearly a million euro in additional revenue each month, according to the digital specialist site Digitalfernsehen.de.
