eSports: AS Béziers becomes the first 2018-19 Domino's Ligue 2 club to create an eSports team

Avenir Sportif Béziers (promoted to the Domino's Ligue 2) has created an eSports team and launched a team which will take part in FIFA football video game competitions organised by Virtual Pro Gaming (VPG), an eSports site, said the French club on 22/08/2018. Among the clubs involved in the 2018-19 Domino's Ligue 2 season, AS Béziers is the only one to have an eSports team as of 28/08/2018.

"Our team is playing in several championships, the main one being the Virtual Pro Gaming where we will represent the VPG Béziers in the VPG Ligue 2. We have set ourselves the goal of promotion to the VPG Ligue 1," explained 'Hell34500', AS Béziers eSport team leader.

"We will also register, on the Virtual Pro Gaming website, to the paid professional league that requires paying a registration fee, which will be paid at the end of the season following classification. We have a current squad of about 15 players, but we are in the recruitment and testing phase in order to be ready for the release of FIFA 19 on 28/09/2018," added 'Hell34500'.
