Tennis: "We hope that all the best players participate in the Davis Cup" (G. Piqué, Kosmos)

"We hope that all the best players will participate and that all countries will follow the event. The Davis Cup must be known and recognised around the world and that the most spectators possible know the winner, with the current format, this is not the case," said Gerard Piqué, president and founder of the investment group Kosmos, in an interview with the French daily Le Figaro on 25/08/2018.

The ITF, the International Tennis Federation, has signed a 25-year partnership agreement worth $3bn (€2.4bn) with Kosmos to change the format of the Davis Cup by BNP Paribas and "generate substantial revenues for the development of tennis," announced the Federation, on 26/02/2018, the agreement was then validated during an annual general meeting on 16/08/2018.
