Manchester City FC: fans invited to vote on design of a special kit celebrating the club's 125 years

Manchester City FC (Premier League) is offering its supporters the chance to vote on the design of a special "anniversary" kit that will be worn by the players during a match of the 2019-2018 season, marking 125 years of the club, according to the Manchester club on 23/08/2018. The first official match played by Manchester City FC was on 01/09/1894.

"The vote will take place via the club's online Cityzens membership platform and is open until Monday 03/09/2018. The kit will be worn by the City players for one match in the 2019-20 season and a fan vote has launched today (23/08/2018) that allows supporters to choose the club crest, commemorative wording and symbols of Manchester which will feature on the shirt," added Manchester City. 

The club previously seeked the help of its online fans in order to choose between two fonts for the names and numbers featuring on the 2017-18 shirts, in April 2017.
