Chinese brewer Tsingtao partner of the Asian Football Confederation until 2017

Chinese brewer Tsingtao has signed a partnership with the AFC (Asian Football Confederation), on the 10/12/2013. From the 01/01/2014 and until 2017, the brand will be the official sponsor of the Asian Champions League and all other AFC club competitions. The value of the partnership is estimated at 2.5 million dollars (€1.8 million) per year.

"Today marks another milestone of our sports marketing strategy as the first Chinese brand to be a partner of AFC. I believe Tsingtao beer's global brand influence can, through intensive promotional activities, promote the AFC Champions League internationally," said Wang Ruiyong, Vice President and Marketing President of Tsingtao Brewery, on the 10/12/2013.

"The professionalism and exposure of our club competitions have been improving year-on-year and there is a lot to be gained by being associated with the club game in Asia. We are sure the relationship between the AFC and Tsingtao will be mutually beneficial and we look forward to a long and fruitful relationship," added Alex Soosay, General Secretary of the AFC.
