MLS: Bayern Munich to play All-Star Game in 2014 during summer tour in United States

Bayern Munich (Bundesliga) will play a selection of the best players in the MLS (Major League Soccer) during the 2014 All-Star Game in Portland (Oregon), on the 06/08/2014, during their 2014-15 pre-season tour in the United States, said the MLS, on the 12/12/2013.

"Taking part in the MLS All-Star Game is another important step in our international strategy. We regard the USA as an important market and want to bring our brand, our team and our philosophy closer to our fans and friends and all football enthusiasts," said Jorg Wacker, board director responsible for the German club's internationalisation and strategy.

The 19^th edition of the All-Star Game, which will take place at the Portland Timbers' Jeld-Wen Field (20,674 seats), will be broadcast in approximately 130 countries. The match will be shown on ESPN2 and UNIMAS (in Spanish) in the United States, and on TSN and RDS in Canada.
