Levante UD: free bottles of water and hats offered during Levante UD - Valencia CF (02/09/2018)

Levante Union Deportiva (LaLiga Santander) provided two bottles of water as well as a hat to each of the 22,550 spectators who attended the Levante UD - Valencia CF game (2-2) Matchday 3 of the 2018-19 LaLiga Santander season at the Estadio Ciudad de Valencia (26,354 capacity), which kicked-off at 12.00 CET, on 02/09/2018.
 
This measure was taken following LaLiga's decision to keep the match on schedule, despite requests from the Generalitat Valenciana (ESP) that had asked the Spanish League to postpone the game as the weather forecast provided for a temperature and humidity "that could endanger the health of players and spectators." The match was finaly contested in temperatures of roughly 29ºC and a humidity level of 63%.

A total of 50,000 bottles of water and 18,000 hats were offered to spectators attending the match. LaLiga would have borne the costs generated by this distribution, according to several Spanish media sources.
