Bundesliga: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts of the 18 clubs (September 2018)

The 18 clubs involved in the 2018-19 Bundesliga season have more than 111 million fans on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, according to data collected by News Tank Football on 01/09/2018. The Bundesliga is the fourth most popular European Top 5 league on these three social networks, behind LaLiga Santander, the Premier League and the Serie A TIM, with an average of 6.2 million fans per club.

FC Bayern Munich is the most popular German club with over 66 million fans, far ahead of Borussia Dortmund, the second most popular German club, with over 24 million fans. FC Schalke 04, who reached 500,000 followers on Instagram, complete the Bundesliga podium with just over 4 million fans.

10 Bundesliga clubs saw a decrease in Facebook likes compared to on 01/08/2018. This decrease can be explained in part by a by a clean-up operation carried out by the social network which removes false, inactive or deactivated accounts.
