LaLiga Santander: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts of the 20 clubs (September 2018)

The 20 clubs involved in the 2018-19 LaLiga Santander season have more than 438 million fans on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, according to data collected by News Tank Football on 01/09/2018. This total makes the LaLiga Santander the most popular European Top 5 league on these three social networks, ahead of the Premier League, Serie A TIM, Bundesliga and Ligue 1 Conforama, with an average of more than 22.5 million fans per club.

Real Madrid CF is the most popular Spanish club with nearly 203 million fans. The cumulative number of fans of the 2018 Champions League winners and FC Barcelona (2nd with a total of 191 million fans) represents nearly 90% of the total fans of the LaLiga Santander clubs on these three social networks. Third in the rankings, Club Atlético de Madrid passed the 23 million fans mark.

Real Madrid posted an increase of 1.25 million followers on Instagram in August 2018, the second best growth among the clubs of the Top 5 behind Juventus FC (Serie A TIM, +1.85 million followers).
