2013-14 Champions League: Bayern Munich (GER) to play Arsenal (ENG) in last 16

Bayern Munich (Bundesliga, GER) have been drawn against Arsenal (Premier League, ENG) in the last 16 of the 2013-14 Champions League, following the draw made at the headquarters of UEFA (Union of European Football Associations) in Nyon (SUI), on the 16/12/2013. Bayern, the reigning champions, and Arsenal, met at the same stage of the competition in 2012-13 (3-1, 0-2).

The first legs will be played on the 18-19 and 25-26/02/2014, with the return legs on the 11-12 and 18-19/03/2014.

In other notable matches, Manchester City (ENG) will host Barcelona (La Liga, ESP), and Paris Saint-Germain (Ligue 1, FRA) will be away to FC Bayer Leverkusen (Bundesliga, GER). It will be the first time that PSG and Leverkusen have met in European competition.

Each of the 16 qualified teams for the knockout stages of the Champions League receive a premium of €3.5 million. The eight clubs who advance to the quarterfinals will get an additional €3.9 million each.
