Germany: adidas extends as equipment supplier of the Deutscher Fussball Bund (DFB) until 2026

The German brand adidas has extended its four-year contract (from 2023 to 2026) as the equipment supplier of the DFB, on 10/09/2018.

The annual value of the contract has not yet been communicated (as of 10/09/2018). During the 2018-2022 period, the deal was valued at €50m per season (excluding bonuses related to sporting performance), which makes the agreement between adidas and the DFB the second most profitable equipment supplier contract for a national football federation behind Nike and the FFF (€50.5m per season, until 2026).

adidas indicates that it has been teaming the DFB continuously since 1954. Nevertheless, it was the German brand Erima that supplied the kits for the Federal Republic of Germany during the 1974-1979 cycle (logo visible on the shirt during 1978 and 1979). adidas acquired Erima in 1976 and has displayed its own logo on the shirts of the German national team since 1980.
