Premier League: Farhad Moshiri holds 68.6% of Everton after purchasing an additional 18.7% in shares

The Iranian-British businessman Farhad Moshiri, the majority shareholder of Everton FC (Premier League) with a stake of 49.9% "has purchased an additional 18.7% through Blue Heaven Holdings Ltd (Isle of Man)," said the Merseyside club on 11/09/2018.

Farhad Moshiri obtained approximately 17,500 Everton FC shares in February 2016 for an estimated £87.5m (€111m on 26/02/2016), which then valued the club at around £175m (€222m on 26/02/2016). At the time, he bought the 23.27% of the club that belonged to the Englishman Robert Earl, and also obtained the shares of Bill Kenwright (who owned 25.84% of the club before the transaction) and Jon Woods (18.92%). Farhad Moshiri now holds 68.6% of Everton FC, a stake that "is expected to increase to 77.2% no later than July 2019," added the club.
