Bundesliga: Michael Meeske appointed managing director of VfL Wolfsburg from 01/11/2018

Michael Meeske, 46 years old, has been named as the new managing director of VfL Wolfsburg (Bundesliga) effective from 01/11/2018, according to the German club. He will succeed Wolfgang Hotze (retired) and "completes the new management team along with Jörg Schmadtke and Dr. Tim Schumacher."

After working with Hannover 96 (Bundesliga) and FC St. Pauli (2.Bundesliga), Michael Meeske has held the position of commercial director of 1. Fußball Club Nürnberg (promoted to the 2018-19 Bundesliga). He is also a member of the executive committee of the German Football League (DFL) and of the board of directors of the Federation (DFB).
