SS Lazio: turnover of €193m (+49.5%) and a net profit of €36.9m in 2017-18

Societa Sportiva Lazio (Serie A TIM) posted a turnover of €193m (including player trading) for the fiscal year 2017-18 (from 01/07/2017 to 30/06/2018), an increase of 49.5% compared to 2016-17 (€129.1m), according to the club after the approval by its board of directors of the club's unaudited 2017-18 financial statements, on 20/09/2018.

Net profit for 2017-18 amounted to €36.9m, three times more than in 2016-17 (€11.4m). The Rome-based club's operating profit reached €41.8m, versus €14.8m the previous season.

TV rights were the club's main source of revenue (44%), at €85.1m. This source of revenue increased (€73.4m in 2016-17, up 15.9%) mainly because of Lazio's participation in the group stage of the Europa League. Gains on from player trading amounted to €63.7m, compared to €28.8m in 2016-17.

The club's wage bill amounted to €79.8m and represented 64.4% of the club's operating expenses in 2017-18, compared to 68.8% in 2016-17.
