Celtic FC: record turnover of £101.6m (+12.1%) and net profit of £15.4m in 2017-18

Celtic FC (Ladbrokes Premiership) posted a turnover (excluding player trading) of £101.6m (€114.6m at 30/06/2018) during fiscal year 2017-18 (from 01/07/2017 to 30/06/2018), up 12.1% compared to fiscal year 2016-17 (£90.6m, or €103.1m in 06/2017), according to the Glasgow (SCO) club on 19/09/2018.

Operating profit also increased to £18m (€20.4m) from £7.5m (€8.6m) the previous year. Net profit amounted to £15.4m (€17.4m), compared to £6.9m (€7.9m) in 2016-17.

The club's wage bill for 2017-18 reached £59.3m (€66.9m), up nearly 14% from the previous year (£52.2m, or 59m €4m), representing 58.3% of the club's revenue, compared to 57.6% in 2016-17.

"These results, which declare record sales revenue, reflect a financial year in which everything went well. In my last annual report I referred to our vulnerability to the growing financial power of a number of key constituencies within the European Game. These circumstances are unchanged and we remain watchful of events that unfold," said Ian Bankier, president of Celtic FC.
