UEFA: Executive Committee awards the organization of Euro 2024 to Germany

The organization of the Euro 2024 has been attributed to the DFB, the German Football Association, announced Aleksander Ceferin, UEFA president, from the House of European Football, the headquarters of the European Football Confederation, in Nyon (SUI) on 27/09/2018.

The DFB and the TFF (Turkish Football Federation) were the only two national associations to bid for the 2024 European Football Championship. On 27/09/2018 at 13:00 CET, the Germans and Turks presented their dossiers, in an order drawn by lottery, with a video and were available for 15 minutes of questions and answers. Subsequently, the UEFA administration presented to the UEFA Executive Committee the evaluation report of the bid applications of the two national associations, without the candidate delegations being present. This was followed by the vote of the UEFA Executive Committee.
