eSports: Empoli FC renews its eSports team via a partnership with Team Esports Revolution

"Empoli FC (Serie A TIM) is renewing and strengthening its presence in the world of eSports with a new team and an ever more ambitious and exciting project, in partnership with Team Esports Revolution," announced the Tuscan club on 24/09/2018. The Empoli eSports team was created on 23/03/2017.

"Several initiatives will be put in place as part of this important partnership: dedicated events and tournaments, national and international matches, as well as the recruitment of prestigious new players to the team on FIFA and other games," added Empoli FC, whose team will be featured in the 11-on-11 mode of the FIFA 19 video game on the Xbox console.

Empoli FC joins UC Sampdoria, AS Roma and Cagliari Calcio, as the fourth Serie A TIM club with an eSports team, as of 27/09/2018.
