Argentina: Konami, partner of River Plate, with PES 2019 game logo displayed in the shirt numbers

The logo of the video game PES 2019 has appeared in the numbers on the back of the Club Atlético River Plate (Superliga Quilmes Clásica) shirts since 23/09/2018 and the Club Atlético Boca Juniors - River Plate "Superclásico" (0-2, Matchday 6 of the 2018-19 season).

Konami, the Japanese video game publisher, has been collaborating with River Plate since 2017. The Japanese company formalized its partnership with the Buenos Aires club (ARG) on 27/09/2018. Konami has the status of official sponsor, which is the fifth level in the River Plate sponsorship hierarchy. The duration of the partnership has not been communicated.

Konami has also obtained the license to the SAF (Superliga Argentina de Fútbol, the professional league which manages the Argentine first division football) and its 26 clubs for the 2019 edition for its PES (Pro Evolution Soccer) game, on 19/09/2018.
