Armenia: Artur Vanetsyan elected for four years as president of the Football Federation

Artur Vanetsyan, 38 years old, is the new president of the Football Federation Armenia F(FFA). The only candidate for the post since 04/09/2018, he received 24 votes out of 24 voting delegations and is elected for a four-year term, at a special meeting of the FFA on 22/09/2018.

After his election, Artur Vanetsyan, who is director of the National Security Service, says he will be guided by the principle of "football for all," and will do "all he can to bring Armenian football to a new level of development."

The new president of the FFA explains that the Armenian Federation will work to create a new national system to identify and develop young talented footballers for the future. "We should expand the geography of Armenian football, and carry out large-scale work in the regions,” Vanetsyan stressed. “We will, of course, be cooperating with UEFA during the process," said Artur Vanetsyan.
