LaLiga Santander: Ronaldo Luis Nazario de Lima officially appointed president of Real Valladolid CF

"Ronaldo Luis Nazario de Lima, majority shareholder of Real Valladolid CF is officially the new president of the board of directors of the club since this Friday," announced Real Valladolid CF on 28/09/2018.

The former Brazilian international, and double Ballon d'Or winner (1997 and 2002), became the new majority shareholder of the club (promoted in LaLiga Santander in 2018-19) by buying 51% of the club's shares, on 03/09/2018. Ronaldo succeeds Carlos Suárez Sureda as president of Real Valladolid. Carlos Suárez Sureda was also the majority shareholder of the club since 2011 and will retain a position as a member of the board of directors.

"Real Valladolid's board of directors, meeting at the Estadio José Zorrilla, has decided to incorporate Ronaldo - also elected president -, Marta Urgoiti (wife of Suárez Sureda) and Jorge Santiago as members, who are added to the five members already in place: Carlos Suárez, Eduardo Suárez, Jacobo de Salas, Álvaro Ruiz de Alda and Elimane Lam," said the Spanish club.
