LaLiga Santander: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts of the 20 clubs (October 2018)

The 20 clubs involved in the 2018-19 LaLiga Santander season have more than 440 million fans on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, according to data collected by News Tank Football on 01/10/2018. This total makes the LaLiga Santander the most popular European Top 5 league on these three social networks, ahead of the Premier League, Serie A TIM, Bundesliga and Ligue 1 Conforama, with an average of more than 22.6 million fans per club.

Real Madrid CF is the most popular Spanish club with more than 204 million fans. The cumulative number of fans of the 2018 Champions League winners and FC Barcelona (2^nd with nearly 192 million fans) represents 90% of the total fans of the LaLiga Santander clubs on the three social networks. Third in the rankings, Club Atlético de Madrid has over 23 million fans.

FC Barcelona has reached 60 million followers on Instagram, the social network in which Real Madrid posted the best increase in the Top 5 (+1 million followers) in October 2018.
