European Professional Club Rugby: Simon Halliday to continue as independent chairman (2018-2021)

Simon Halliday (ENG) will continue in the role of independent chairman of the European Professional Club Rugby board (EPCR) "for a further three-year term (2018-2021)," announced EPCR on 03/10/2018.

In May 2015, Simon Halliday succeeded Irishman Paul McNaughton, interim president of the EPCR since its foundation, on 10/04/2014. "As independent chairman, Halliday will support the continuing evolution of EPCR's commercial strategy alongside director general, Vincent Gaillard, (SUI) and his team at the tournament organiser's new headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland," said EPCR.

"I am very proud to be continuing as independent Chairman for another three years as we continue to grow the tournaments and to drive increasing revenue for the participant clubs via their leagues and unions. We have made impressive strides in many areas including the development of a destination Finals weekend concept which proved an outstanding success in Bilbao (ESP) last season.
