The fight against racism and discrimination, match fixing and doping were the main topics relating to the protection of football that were discussed during FIFA's (Fédération Internationale de Football Association) strategic committee, in Marrakech (MOR) on the 20/12/2013, on the eve of the 2013 Club World Cup final (2-0 for Bayern Munich, GER, against Raja Casablanca, MOR).

"The use of goal-line technology, which was successfully deployed again at this year’s Club World Cup and is much appreciated by referees, was praised by the committee, including ECA (European Club Association) chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge and FIFPro (International Federation of Professional Footballers) secretary general Theo van Seggelen", FIFA indicated.

"The two outstanding items of FIFA’s governance reform process - limits on age and terms of office, both of which will be on the agenda at next year’s FIFA Congress - were discussed at today’s meeting," the international federation announced in a statement.
