Puma: launch of the brand's first basketball shoe range for over 20 years on 11/10/2018

The German equipment manufacturer Puma, which relaunched a Basketball division on 18/06/2018, will market its first range of basketball shoes "in more than 20 years" on Thursday 11/10/2018, according to equipment manufacturer on 09/10/2018.

Puma's "Cell Origin Mid" was the last model developed by the German equipment manufacturer for the American basketball player Vince Carter, current player of the Atlanta Hawks (National Basketball Association). Carter was Puma's last NBA ambassador (a 10-year contract signed in 1998 upon his arrival in the league, ended prematurely in 2000).

Puma's "Clyde Court Disrupt" is inspired by the "Puma Clyde", the first model of the brand and the first shoe produced by an equipment manufacturer specifically for a basketball player. The Puma Clyde was designed for the former NBA basketball player, Walt "Clyde" Frazier (1967-1980, New York Knicks then Cleveland Cavaliers), a member of the NBA Hall of Fame and a Puma ambassador for life.
