NBA: Joel Embiid (Philadelphia 76ers) becomes ambassador of the equipment manufacturer Under Armour

Joel Embiid, a Cameroonian basketball player for the Philadelphia 76ers (NBA), has become an ambassador of the American equipment manufacturer Under Armour, according to the brand on 10/10/2018. The Sixers player had been an ambassador of the German equipment manufacturer adidas since joining the National Basketball Association in the 2014-15 season.

According to American sports media ESPN, the contract will last for five years. The value of the contract has not been disclosed, however, Under Armour has formalised the agreement by publishing an interview with Joel Embiid based on his journey to the NBA on the brand's website.

As part of the partnership, Joel Embiid and Under Armor will collaborate on a collection of shoes bearing the image of the 24-year-old as well as on the development of the city of Philadelphia (Pennsylvania, USA) and his hometown Yaoundé (CAM).
