FC Bordeaux: City Council validates GACP (investment fund) guarantees for Stade Matmut-Atlantique

The Bordeaux Métropole Council, which is chaired by former French Prime Minister and Mayor of Bordeaux Alain Juppé, approved the release request of Métropole Télévision (French audiovisual group M6, owner of the Bordeaux football club) as well as the guarantees provided by the US investment fund General American Capital Partners (GACP) concerning the payment of the rent of the Stade Matmut-Atlantique (41,458 capacity), the enclosure where FC Girondins de Bordeaux (Ligue 1 Conforama) plays, on 12/10/2018.

Initially scheduled for 28/09/2018, the vote of the elected officials of Bordeaux Métropole was postponed due to a request for clarification concerning the takeover project of the Bordeaux club by GACP, however ultimately validated by a large majority (82 votes for, 13 against, 9 abstentions).
