Bundesliga: Borussia Mönchengladbach opens an office in Shanghai to promote the brand in China

Borussia Mönchengladbach (Bundesliga) has opened an office in Shanghai with the aim of "contributing to the development of football in China in a sustainable way and promoting brand awareness," said the club on 01/10/2018.

Created on this occasion, the company "Borussia Monchengladbach (Shanghai) Sport Development Ltd." occupies premises decorated in the colours of the club and located on the 28th floor of a building in the centre of Shanghai. This new office is headed by Martin Thiess.

"The club is going to develop its activities through Chinese social networks and Borussia is also represented on Toutiao, a growing information platform in China, based on artificial intelligence technology," said Borussia Mönchengladbach, which currently has two coaches on hand in China to train young players as well as Chinese coaches.
