Bundesliga: VfB Stuttgart signs a five-year cooperation agreement with Guangzhou R&F FC (China)

VfB Stuttgart (Bundesliga) and Chinese club Guangzhou R&F FC (Chinese Super League, CSL) have signed a five-year cooperation agreement covering "all business aspects of professional football," said the German club, on 10/10/2018.

"Under the agreement, Guangzhou R&F FC will be able to draw on the expertise of VfB Stuttgart, particularly in the areas of sports organisation and development, as well as commercial and sponsorship side. VfB Stuttgart, will be integrated in the external communication of the Chinese club and will be able to use its vast network in China in order to establish itself permanently," added the club.

"We've received a very warm welcome here and the signing of the partnership has enabled us to put into action exactly what we've been discussing intensively with the representatives from Guangzhou R&F over recent months. From now we'll be working to ensure that R&F benefits from our expertise and at the same time, we too will gain a new momentum," said Thomas Hitzlsperger, member of the executive committee and training director at VfB Stuttgart
