"Mexican football is the third most watched sport in the United States, after the NFL (American football) and the NBA (basketball). Although in Mexico football as an institution with the Federation (1927) is almost a hundred years old, the league was only born six years ago. We have two pillars: football as a business and our social engagement," said Enrique Bonilla, president of the Liga MX, at the 2018 Leaders Sport Business Summit at Stamford Bridge, home of Chelsea FC (Premier League), in London (ENG) on 10/10/2018. 

"Attendance reached a 76% fill rate in our stadiums. We have 12 million followers on social networks (7.4 million on Facebook, 2.76 million on Twitter and 697,000 on Instagram for the main Liga Bancomer MX accounts on 16/10/2018). We must now offer fans something different, such as targeted news and videos 24 hours a day, 7 days a week," said the leader of the Mexican League.
