Asics: Andrés Iniesta, former Spanish international, becomes an ambassador of the Japanese brand

Andrés Iniesta, former Spanish international currently playing for Vissel Kobe (J.League, Japan), has become an ambassador of the Japanese equipment manufacturer Asics, on 22/10/2018. "The football player will support the brand through product placement and promotions, as well as delivery of the 'I Move Me' brand tagline (which aims to encourage sports for all)," said the Japanese brand and equipment supplier of Vissel Kobe, on 23/10/2018.

Nike has been Andrés Iniesta's equipment supplier for 19 years, since 1999. Nike has also been the equipment supplier of FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander) since 1998, where Iniesta played from 1996 until the end of the 2017-18 season.

"The deal was announced as part of the brand's vision to expand its football business and reach more audiences across Asia and beyond. As part of the expansion, Asics and Iniesta will work together on future product development, set to reach consumers in Japan, followed by China and the rest of the world," said Asics.
