Ligue 1 Conforama: Puma the most represented equipment supplier in 2018-19 (five clubs)

With five of the 20 clubs (25%) under contract, the German brand Puma is the most represented equipment supplier in the Ligue 1 Conforama during the 2018-19 season.

This is a first since 2012-13 (date of the first survey conducted by News Tank Football), as the American brand Nike has been the most represented equipment supplier of the French first division for six seasons (tied with adidas and Kappa in 2012-13, tied with adidas, Kappa and Macron in 2013-14).

Four equipment supplier partnerships (20%) began in 2018-19, compared to none during the previous season. Six partnerships -- nearly one third of the club contracts -- are coming to an end in 2018-19. This is one more than in 2017-18 and three times as many than in 2016-17.

The contract between Nike and Paris Saint-Germain is the oldest in the Ligue 1 Conforama, and enters its 30^th year in 2018-19. It is also the longest duration (scheduled for 33 seasons in the current iteration) and highest value contract of the league, with an estimated annual value of €25m (excluding performance bonuses) from 2014-15 to 2021-22.
