NBA: Ralph Rivera (USA) appointed managing director of NBA Europe and Middle East from 02/01/2019

Ralph Rivera (USA) has been appointed as managing director for NBA Europe and Middle East (NBA EME), on 25/10/2018. Ralph Rivera, whose offices will be based in London (UK), will take up his position as managing director for NBA EME from 02/01/2019. Ralph Rivera has been the executive vice-president and managing director of Eurosport Digital (Discovery Group) since 26/09/2016.

Ralph Rivera succeeds Benjamin Morel (FRA), who stepped down as NBA EME managing director in July 2018, seven months after taking office (2011). Benjamin Morel was appointed managing director of Six Nations Rugby Ltd (commercial company and rights holder of the Six Nations Tournament), on 23/08/2018, and will take up his new position on 05/11/2018.

"As managing director, Rivera will oversee the league's basketball and business development throughout Europe and the Middle East and will be supported by the region's management team to continue to increase the popularity of basketball," said the NBA.
